The open casting call that I posted on my Open Casting Calls blog (click here to see the post) for this film ended up having only 9 guys show up. That is pretty sad. Doesn’t anyone read my other auditions and casting blogs? You can read about the sorry turnout here:
Offspring Entertainment and Walt Disney Pictures have begun production on the Nicholas Sparks feature film, “The Last Song” starring Miley Cyrus. Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus will executive produce, Adam Shankman and his sister Jennifer Gibgot will handle production for Offspring Entertainment.
Principal photography began June 15, 2009 (the Hannah Montana TV series wrapped in May) and will run through August 20, 2009. The filming locations are in Savannah, Georgia and other nearby coastal locales. Julie Anne Robinson (Pushing Daisies, Grey’s Anatomy, Samantha Who, Coming Down the Mountain) is directing.
Offspring Entertainment and Walt Disney Pictures are scheduled to begin working on another project called “Fear Phil” after this film wraps up production.
