Disney talent search continues for ‘Aladdin’ lead roles


The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures live-action adventure musical feature film “Aladdin” is conducting an international talent search seeking talent to play the two lead roles of Aladdin and Jasmine. Instructions on how you can submit are posted below. BAFTA Award winner Dan Lin is producing the film. Shooting will take place in the United Kingdom from July, 2017 through January, 2018 and all talent must have legal eligibility requirements to work in the United Kingdom in the entertainment industry. That information can be found in the London Actors Resource Guide. Rehearsals for the cast members will begin in April, 2017.

Saturn Awards nominee Guy Ritchie is directing “Aladdin” from an adapted screenplay written by Grammy Award nominee John August based on the animated classic, about a street urchin who vies for the love of a beautiful princess, and uses a genie’s magic power to make himself off as a prince in order to marry her. Max Keene will co-produce with Dan Lin. Lin Pictures president Jonathan Eirich will serve as executive producer.

• Should be between 18 – 22 years of age

• Must be able to sing

• Dance experience is a plus, but not required

Alan Baltes was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and his family moved to Santa Barbara, California when he was 6 years old. He attended San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, CA with classmates Cathy Ireland, Cady Huffman, Anthony Edwards, and Eric Stoltz. Alan Baltes founded his company, AB Media Publishing LLC in 2007, which publishes the "Actors Resource Guides" for actors among others. His company also publishes a network of casting calls and auditions information websites. Alan is also an IMDb Pro News Desk Partner. In 2014, Alan Baltes opened a PR Services division of his company, providing publicity services for entertainment industry professionals. Alan is also a film and television casting director, with credits ranging from extras to lead role actors. Alan Baltes is the proud parent of two amazing young daughters, and strives to educate young actors about the trials and tribulations of an entertainment industry career.
